Name: Shopmin

Role: Shopmin of Theatre Blues

About the Contributor :

Shopmin’s role is to ensure that the heart of Theatre Blues is always present in every product. As someone who listens closely to the community, Shopmin helps understand what people truly need while making choices that stay aligned with Theatre Blues’ core values: care, calm, and support. Over time, Theatre Blues naturally became part of her life, growing alongside her own personal journey. It is not something separate from her, but something woven into how the team lives, grows, and shows up together. Through this opportunity, her Second Shift became a journey of reconnecting with herself and finding the courage to begin again.

Another part of her second shift was learning languages. In her twenties, she often felt regret for not starting earlier, believing that it was already too late. Yet through learning languages, she discovered a deeper truth: it is never too late to start today, but it may be tomorrow. The process humbled her, constantly reminding her to stay open and to keep learning from everyone and everything. Through therapy, she reconnected with her inner child, the part that still holds fear, hope, and everything in between. She learned about boundaries, gratitude, how to love better, how to be a good friend and partner, and ultimately how to understand her purpose. That realization led her to see Theatre Blues as more than a workplace, but as a place where the team can become a helping hand for others, even in the smallest ways.

As Theatre Blues reaches its fifth year, her hope for #TeamTheatreBlues—whether you wear the scrubs, work alongside the team, or quietly support from afar is simple yet meaningful. She hopes this community becomes a space where people feel supported enough to begin their own second shift. A place where you feel brave enough to start again, or to begin something new no matter how small. Because growth is not a race, it is a journey, sometimes slow, sometimes quiet, sometimes messy but always worth it when you have people beside you who truly support you💕
